Responsibilities of a Farm Tractor Operator The successful applicant will be responsible for: Operating farm tractors and other agricultural machinery safely and efficiently. Carrying out ploughing, harrowing, ridging, planting, and other farm preparation activities as required. Operating tractor-mounted implements and attachments correctly. Conducting daily checks and basic maintenance of the tractor, including checking engine oil, coolant, tyres, fuel, and hydraulic systems. Reporting any mechanical faults or issues with the tractor immediately to the farm manager. Ensuring proper handling and care of the tractor and all farm equipment under their supervision. Following farm schedules and instructions from the farm manager or supervisor. Maintaining accurate records of tractor usage, working hours, fuel consumption, and field operations. Ensuring safe operation of the tractor

Responsibilities

Proven experience operating agricultural tractors. Ability to operate different tractor models and farm implements. Basic knowledge of tractor maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid driver's licence or relevant tractor operating certification, where applicable. Good knowledge of farm safety practices. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent. At least 2–3 years of proven experience operating farm tractors and agricultural machinery.
