Pack items: wrapping, cushioning, securing fragile items, boxing, labeling properly. • Load items onto trucks or vans securely; ensure weight balance, use straps or tie-downs, prevent shifting in transit. • Unload items at destination carefully, placing them per instructions (rooms, positions). • Moving furniture, goods, boxes between locations. • Inventory tracking: help count, check, record items before and after move/transport. • Inspect items for damage before packing; report any defects or damages to supervisor. • Use packing materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, plastic wrap, nylon, etc.) properly. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing and loading areas / vehicle. • Follow safety procedures to reduce risk of injury or damage. • Interact courteously with customers; ensure items are handled with care. • Join loading plans to maximize space and minimize damage.

Responsibilities

Physical Strength & Stamina: able to lift heavy items, work on feet for long periods, bend, kneel, carry, push/pull. • Attention to Detail: careful packaging to avoid damage; labeling and inventory accuracy. • Teamwork Skills: ability to work well with others, follow instructions, coordinate with drivers, other movers. • Reliability: punctual, able to follow through assignments, dependable in tough working conditions (e.g. weather, time pressure). • Safety Awareness: knowledge or willingness to learn safe handling / lifting techniques, following safety protocols. • Customer Service: polite, respectful, helpful; ability to interact well with clients. • Basic Communication Skills: follow verbal instructions; ability to understand where items go; possibly some written documentation. • Time Management: meet deadlines, get job done efficiently while maintaining quality.

Requirements & Skills

Educational: minimum secondary school (e.G. Ssce / waec) or equivalent. • experience: some prior experience in packing, moving, loading/unloading is a plus • physical fitness: ability to lift to perform physically demanding work. • (optional/desirable) basic knowledge of packing materials and techniques; prior exposure to logistics / moving services.
