A factory worker's job involves operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area to ensure efficient production, with duties including feeding materials, monitoring lines, packaging, and adhering strictly to health, safety, and quality standards to meet output targets.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of basic mechanics and electricity, mechatronics and ability to operate and control equipment. It involves both mental and physicals activity. The use of computer-aided technologies (e.g. computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) increases efficiency.

Requirements & Skills

There are no set entry requirements, but previous experience on a production line or in a warehouse might be helpful. You could get into this job through an apprenticeship. Type of person who may be suited to this job: You would need to be efficient, have a good eye for detail.
